Posing at the Lobby

We spent our saturday at husband's office. While husband was busy with his reports, me and the kids played hide and seek, visit the nearest mall and had some bonding time. Here's me and my daughter posing at the lobby before strolling the mall...

September 10, 2010 is a Holiday!

MalacaƱang has declared September 10, Friday, a regular holiday.

President Benigno Aquino on Friday proclaimed Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, a holiday.

This makes the next weekend, September 10-12, a 3-day holiday.

Republic Act No. 9177, signed into law in November 2002 during the Arroyo presidency, declares the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar, a national holiday for the observance of Eidul Fitr.

"Eidul Fitr is the first day marking the end of the thirty (30)-day fasting period of Ramadhan," said RA 9177. Eidul Fitr day depends on the Islamic calendar.

RA 9177 says "the approximate date of these Islamic holidays may be determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is possible or convenient. Source

How to Deal with Stress

Experiencing stress is something that is constant and inevitable in one’s life and the ways how people manage it vary. This boils down to one question -- What is the right way to handle it?

Unquestionably, majority of people takes pressure negatively. What most of us don’t know is that we can do it in an optimistic way. How? First is to avoid extreme reactions upon knowing that something bad comes up. Why hate when a little dislike will do? Why be depressed when you can just be sad? Next is to practice managing the effects of stress. If because of strain you lack sleep, then try to get enough. Remember not to overwhelm yourself. Work on one problem at a time by starting with what should be prioritized the most. Also get an outlet.

Work your stress off. Do things that relax you even for just a little time like shopping or having your nails done. Give yourself a break. The most important point that you should consider is to remain positive about everything. Instead of cursing your boss for giving you a house of workload, take it as a challenge. Who knows, he is just testing you before he gives you a promotion.
